How many silicone profiles does the Metex Silicone Block offer?

Metex Silicone Block offers 2 different bead heights – 6mm and 8mm depending on which side of the block is used.

Can Metex Silicone Block be used with any type of sealant?

Yes – it’s compatible with all silicone, hybrid and caulk sealants.

Is Silicone Block compatible with Multisolve or other solvents?

No – contact with solvent cleaners could damage the block material so we don’t recommend it. You can still use a solvent to remove old silicone, just ensure there is no residue

How can I clean sealant off the Metex Silicone Block after use?

We recommend wiping the block clean immediately after use. Spraying the block with glass cleaner or soapy water before use reduces the sealant sticking and makes the block easier to clean.

What if sealant sets on the Metex Silicone Block?

Most standard silicone sealants can be simply picked off the block. Some hybrid sealants may be stickier and need to be gently scraped off. As long as the thin edges are clean, the block will work as intended.
