What material depth are the Metex screed dapple bars suitable for?

All our dapple bars have a 38mm bottom bar which makes them ideal for any material depths above 30mm.

Are Metex dapple bars corrosion resistant?

The dapple bars are protected with a tough powdercoated finish that is electrostatically attracted to the metal during application, for maximum coverage, then cured in an oven.

What's the difference between Metex aluminium & steel dapple bars?

Aluminium dapple bars are generally used for liquid screeds, because they are lightweight and easy to handle. Steel dapple bars are typically used for flowing concrete because they need to be more robust.

How do I maintain the dapple bars to make them last?

We recommend rinsing the dapple bars with water between jobs to remove any built up screed and chemicals before it sets.

Material compatibility

For advice on which Metex dapple bars work best with which materials, please refer to the compatibility chart on the right.

For Topflow, Breedonflow Form, Agilia, or any other flowing concrete, either the Metex Steel Dapple Bars or the aluminium dapple bar range will work. For Gyvlon, Cemfloor, Cemflow, Highflow, Belitex, or any other self-levelling liquid screed, you should choose the lighter Metex aluminium dapple bar range.

2000mm Liquid Screed Aluminium Dapple Bar

Professional Finishing for Self Levelling Liquid Screeds

The Metex 2000mm Aluminium Dapple Bar is a professional screed bar designed for professional, efficient finishing of self levelling screeds. Purpose-built for liquid screed applications, this lightweight twin-handle dapple bar helps contractors achieve smooth, air-free finishes on pours of any scale.

Dappling is a critical step when working with liquid screed and self leveling screed systems. As the material is poured, air pockets can become trapped beneath the surface. If left untreated, these bubbles create imperfections that compromise the final finish and can lead to weak points in the floor. The Metex screed dapple bar creates a controlled wave motion through the material, releasing trapped air and ensuring a professional, durable and defect-free surface.

This aluminium dapple bar features a 38mm bottom bar that generates the precise wave action needed to work liquid screed effectively. The twin cranked handles allow excellent control and reduce operator fatigue during extended use, while the lightweight aluminium material makes it easy to manoeuvre across large pours without sacrificing strength or durability.

Fully welded and finished with a tough powder coating, this dapple bar for liquid screed applications is built to handle the demands of professional site work. The 2000mm length offers excellent coverage, allowing contractors to work efficiently across wide areas.

The Metex range of screed bars is compatible with all major self levelling screed brands including Gyvlon, Cemfloor, Highflow, and Belitex, and delivers a smooth, professional finish on every pour for screed and flooring contractors.
