Product Overview

Metex Screedpods are adjustable levelling tripods developed to ensure an even, controlled screed depth throughout an installation. Each Screedpod features a threaded central stem and rotating handle that allows precise adjustment of the top disc to the desired datum level.

Site Preparation

Identify the desired datum level – the finished level of the screed.
Position a Screedpod near this reference point. Rotate the handle to raise or lower the disc until it roughly matches the datum level.
Use a laser level or spirit level to set the disc precisely to the correct height.
Leave this first Screedpod as the reference point for the rest of the area.

For optimal results, space additional Screedpods approximately 1.5 metres apart, adjusting each disc to match the reference datum using the same laser or level. Always measure directly to the top surface of the disc for accuracy.

Pouring the Screed

Once all Screedpods are correctly adjusted, begin pouring the screed.

Fill up to the disc level on each Screedpod, ensuring even coverage across the surface.
Check regularly to confirm that no high or low points form between Screedpods.
After pouring is complete, remove all Screedpods before the screed sets.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean Screedpods immediately after use to prevent screed hardening.
Pay particular attention to cleaning the threads and handle mechanism.
Lightly lubricate the threads after cleaning to maintain smooth adjustment and extend service life.
Store in a clean, dry environment ready for reuse on the next project.
